Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
READ. Our Scripture Focus is Hebrews 12:1-2. Try memorizing it during this study!
Today’s reading is from Hebrews 3:7-19 & 4:1-13 (Going Deeper: Numbers 14:20-38 & 1 Peter 1:3-5)
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
You just read God’s Word. Think about that. How often have you longed to hear God’s voice? God speaks through His Word. Often our problem isn’t with the “hear” part, but the “heart”. Today, we’re encouraged - no, implored! - not to harden our hearts in rebellion. Why? Because we’ll never enter God’s rest. Think about that word. Following God’s ways is the way to enter into true rest - both now and forever. How many of us spend our lives searching for fulfillment but never finding it? How many work and strive to earn or prove? Like the most loving parent, our Father God says “I want rest for your weary soul. But you’ll have to believe me to find it.” Today, take Hebrews 4:11 to heart. Make every effort to enter into God’s rest. (Funny, seemingly backward sentence, isn’t it?) How? By obedience. Hard hearted rebellion is actually hard work, while obedience brings rest.
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a lifegroup/church friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations. Pick one each day or pray through them all every day.
TALK. That was our take on today’s reading - what’s yours? Share thoughts and ask questions in the forum.
SHARE. Stay focused with a friend! Invite them to text “FOCUS” to (586) 200-6277.

Stay focused on Jesus today, and make it a great one!
