Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
READ. Today’s scripture reading is from Ezekiel 46:16-24 & Ezekiel 47 (Go Deeper: Psalm 46:4-5, John 4:13-14 & Revelation 22:1-2)
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
I love going backpacking. Water can be scarce when you’re in the wilderness, so you have to be careful where you get it. Unless you don’t have any other options available, you want to avoid standing water. It’s likely to be dirty and contaminated. Flowing water is better, but the best is getting close to a water source. It’s fresh. Clean. Full of life. Sin is like drinking from contaminated water. Worshipping God is like drinking from the freshest, most pure source there is. It refreshes the soul. After chapters of detailed instruction about how to enter God’s presence, chapter 46 turns to how we are to leave it. We’re brought to life to bring life to everyone and everything else we touch. There’s an old song I learned when I was a kid - it starts with the line, “I’ve got a river of life flowing out of me.” May a river of life flow out of you today as you connect to the source.
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations.
