Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
READ. Today’s scripture reading is from Ezekiel 48 (Go Deeper: Zechariah 2:10 & Revelation 21:3,10-22)
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
Why was it so important to face our sin, lament, and repent? Where is all this going? Judgment is part of the process by which God removes our sin, revives our soul, restores our relationship with God, and renews our world. Just as God’s temple was built and the city of Jerusalem established to bring life to the world, we look forward to the day when Jesus returns to rule and reign the new earth in the New Jerusalem. Over the last 6 weeks as we read the book of Ezekiel, we reflected on the reality of our sin and realized our need for a Savior - someone who would replace our hearts of stone with hearts of flesh. Now we turn our attention to the climax of this redemption story: when Jesus, our promised, desperately needed Savior, sacrificed Himself on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead. In this last week of Lent, we’ll walk through the final week of Jesus’ life on earth. As we do, remember the weight of sin and judgment Jesus came to take for us, and rejoice in the new life He offers to our dry, weary bones.
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations.
