Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
READ. Today’s scripture reading is from Ezekiel 45 & 46:1-15 (Go Deeper: Micah 6:8)
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
Have you ever saved something for someone? Or had someone set something aside for you? Maybe it was a seat, some dinner, a “hand-me-down” or even an inheritance. The value and meaning of that thing to you likely has something to do with the sacrifice that was made to give it to you. Often, “saving” or “setting aside” something for someone happens when we’ve already used it or it’s “left over.” One of the ways we worship God - love and honor Him - is by saving or setting aside something for Him. Loving God with everything we have (heart, soul, mind, strength) means saving or setting aside some of everything we have. God told Israel to worship Him with the first and best of everything they had. Land, animals, food, grain, oil… their livelihood. It wasn’t just an act of obedience, but an act of trust and worship. When we put God first in our life, that means we give the first and the best of everything to God. When we do, we end oppression (taking more for ourselves at others’ expense) and do what is just and right (giving more to others at our own expense) because that’s exactly what God had done for us in Jesus and does for us every day when we put Him first.
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations.
