Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
READ. Our Scripture Focus is Leviticus 20:26. Try memorizing it during this study!
Today’s reading is from Leviticus 23-24 (Going Deeper: Mark 2:27-28 & Colossians 2:16-17)
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
Don’t forget to remember. That’s essentially the message of this final section of Leviticus. In it, God gives instructions for how His people should spend their time. You might think it would have detailed instructions for how often to read the Bible, or do other really “holy” things. It is God, after all… right? (Side Note: If we are to be godly, how does God spend His time…?) Believe it or not, God tells His people that we are to be set apart in how we spend our time by remembering (or celebrating) and resting! God was and is creating a community that gathers to remember and celebrate who He is and what He is done, and weekly stops to rest and express our dependence upon Him. While the festivals described here pointed toward and were ultimately fulfilled in Jesus, we can still celebrate by looking back to Jesus, and worship God by ordering our lives around Him, remembering and reflecting on His faithfulness, living our lives as part of His story, and looking ahead to the day when He will return to set up His kingdom that will have no end.
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a lifegroup/church friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations. Pick one each day or pray through them all every day.
SHARE. Stay focused with a friend! Invite them to text “FOCUS” to (586) 200-6277.

Stay focused on Jesus today, and make it a great one!
