Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
READ. Our Scripture Focus is Leviticus 20:26. Try memorizing it during this study!
Today’s reading is from Leviticus 14:19-57 & Leviticus 15 (Going Deeper: Matthew 9:20-22)
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
In Leviticus, God gives specific instruction for how sinful people can live in a holy God’s presence. But what is sin, anyway? And why does it "separate” us from God? Until we understand sin, we can’t comprehend why humanity needs to be restored to God. When we see the scope of sin’s impact and the consequences for our life and the world, we actually also see everything God is making whole, healing, and restoring. Namely, sin. Sin is any deviation from God’s intended design, and can refer to the overall nature of humanity, culture, a general evil, or specific actions. The consequences? Sin orients our hearts away from God. It brings spiritual and physical death. Because of sin, there is suffering, sickness, and decay in our world. It creates a false view of ourselves - taking us to extremes of either self-hatred or self-worship, and destroys our ability to relate in healthy ways to others. Sin affects our ability to participate in the good work God has given us to do, and produces shame and guilt, and can imprison us. Sin affects all of creation, and at the heart of sin is a failure (or outright resistance) to respond to God’s invitation of relationship with Him. Thank God that the restoration He started through sacrifices in Leviticus, He ultimately fulfilled in Jesus and will one day bring to completion upon His return.
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a lifegroup/church friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations. Pick one each day or pray through them all every day.
SHARE. Stay focused with a friend! Invite them to text “FOCUS” to (586) 200-6277.

Stay focused on Jesus today, and make it a great one!
