Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
READ. Our Scripture Focus is Leviticus 20:26. Try memorizing it during this study!
Today’s reading is from Leviticus 11-13:17 (Going Deeper: Mark 7:20-23, 1 John 1:7-9)
THINK. Thoughts from Pastor Mike…
First off, I’m sorry this is posting so late. I have been covering Mondays and was in a great habit of prepping them over the weekend. Pastor Dave covered for me last week and BAM, I forgot and my habit was broken. I say this to highlight for all of us how easily a good habit can be broken. It is so important to stay in God’s presence through regular, healthy rhythms.
In today’s chapters of Leviticus God lays down some very specific rules and procedures for the people that all seem to have a common focus: their health. He lists animals they should avoid eating, gives procedures for women after giving birth, and outlines dermatology practices that read like the fast legal reading at the end of a medication commercial. Why? I believe it’s because God cared for the physical health of his people, and wanted them to care about it as well.
That was my main take away from today’s reading, what’s yours? I’ve created a new Interest Group in Church Center where you can go and share your thoughts or ask questions. Here is a link to request access to that forum: SIGN UP
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a lifegroup/church friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations. Pick one each day or pray through them all every day.
SHARE. Stay focused with a friend! Invite them to text “FOCUS” to (586) 200-6277.

Stay focused on Jesus today, and make it a great one!
