Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
READ. Our Scripture Focus is Leviticus 20:26. Try memorizing it during this study!
Today’s reading is from Leviticus 6:8-30 & Leviticus 7 (Going Deeper: Isaiah 53:5,7 & 10 & Galatians 2:20)
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
Yesterday we talked about God “revealing who He is” initially through His law before fully & finally revealing it in Jesus. If I were to ask you what laws you might want to create if you were president, it would probably tell me a lot about who you are and what you think it important, valuable, and good. Similarly, God reveals Himself through His law in scripture so that we can get to know Him and love Him for who He is. These attributes might come out differently in different times and circumstances, but God’s character remains unchanging. (ie there is no “God of the Old Testament” and “God of the New Testament.” They are one in the same!) So as you read Leviticus, it’s important and helpful to stop to ask just what we’re learning about God’s character through God’s law. For example, God is holy (perfect, pure, without sin), God is good (the standard and source of what is good, true, and beautiful), God is just (the standard for what is true and fair), God is loving (self-giving, showing mercy and grace towards all), and God is personal (a real, personal being who enters into relationship with real people both as individuals and collectively). Thank God for one aspect of His character today!

LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a lifegroup/church friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations. Pick one each day or pray through them all every day.
SHARE. Stay focused with a friend! Invite them to text “FOCUS” to (586) 200-6277.

Stay focused on Jesus today, and make it a great one!
