Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
MEMORIZE. Our Scripture Focus for this study is Exodus 15:1-3. Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry God’s Word with us wherever we go.
READ. Today’s reading is Exodus 4:18-31 & Exodus 5-6:13. (Go Deeper: Psalm 68:4-6 & Isaiah 6:4-5)
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
One of the most difficult places God calls us is our past. But whether that’s past hurts, situations, broken relationships, or people - it’s one of the most critical places followers of Jesus need to go - but it’s also one of the most powerful. Though difficult, our past can (and will) be one of the most powerful places God works when we trust Him with it. Before Moses and the Israelites would see God’s power on display, be set free or even hear about a promised land, Moses had to trust God enough to face his past. That meant going back to the place of his greatest sin. Facing his fear. Uncovering his shame. And standing toe to toe with people who knew the man he once was. Few of us desire to venture to these places. And yet, they are exactly the places where we see God’s power at work in and through our life in the greatest way. Trust God enough to go there today, and watch Him meet you in it powerfully.
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a lifegroup/church friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations. Pick one each day or pray through them all every day.
CONNECT. Have a question, prayer request, or story? Let us know here or reply via text.
SHARE. Invite a friend to read the Focus with you! Just text “FOCUS” to (586) 200-6277.
Run the race with endurance today, and stay focused on Jesus.
Make it a Great One!
