Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
READ. Our Scripture Focus is Revelation 21:5. Try memorizing it during this study!
Today’s reading is from Revelation 21:1-5 & 21:22-27 (Go Deeper: Psalm 24:1-2, Isaiah 65:17-25 & 2 Peter 3:10-13)
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
A newborn baby. That new car smell. The new iPhone. Making a new friend or the beginning of a new relationship. There’s nothing like “new.” It’s a bummer that new never seems to last. In fact, the moment we get something new it stops being new. It gets old. Used. Less valuable. Uninteresting. Dirty. Broken. Everything in our life seems to be affected in this way. We long for “new,” but every new thing becomes old. One of the most common questions I hear about heaven is a fair one - “Won’t that get old?” Yes, everything in our understanding and experience operates that way. Except Jesus. Jesus works in the exact opposite way. In Revelation, we see Jesus doing what he has been doing since creation - making all things new. Your relationships. Your purpose. Your past. Your life. Our world. In Jesus, God is doing a new thing. He’s making you new. He’s making this world new again. With Jesus, the “new” never stops. It’s what he does.
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a lifegroup/church friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations. Pick one each day or pray through them all every day.
CONNECT. Have a question, prayer request, or story? Let us know here or reply via text.
SHARE. Invite a friend to read the Focus with you! Just text “FOCUS” to (586) 200-6277.

Run the race with endurance today, and stay focused on Jesus.
Make it a Great One!
