Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
READ. Our Scripture Focus is Ephesians 6:10-20. Today’s reading is from Romans 3:22-26 (Go Deeper: Isaiah 61 & 2 Corinthians 5:17-21)
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
We wear safety glasses when working with things that could get in our eyes. A helmet when riding a bike to protect our head against a fall. We wear shoes to protect our feet when walking outside or work boots when necessary. Ear plugs protect our hearing, while sunscreen protects our skin. Gloves protect our hands while working, keep harmful substances out of our body, and keep our hands warm in the cold. Protection is key. Worn like a jacket, the soldier’s breastplate was made from leather, along with iron or bronze. The breastplate protected the soldier’s shoulders and chest. Like the breastplate protects one’s most vital organs, God’s righteousness lived out protects believers from false accusations and attack. What do today’s readings say about the righteousness of God? How is His righteousness a defense against evil? What does it look like to live out of the righteousness of God in your life?
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations.
