Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.

THANK.
Write down 5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations.
READ. Today’s scripture reading is from John 12:23-26 & 1 John 1:5-10
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method.

  • S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?

  • O: What am I being invited to obey?

  • S: What can I share with those around me?

A THOUGHT FROM PASTOR DAVE
The sun is setting earlier and earlier as Christmas approaches. As the darkness becomes increasingly prevalent, daylight becomes increasingly valuable. These days, adults hurry home from work and kids rush off the school bus to have any hope of getting an outdoor project or playtime in before it gets dark.

When Jesus walked the earth, he let people know the light would only be with them a little while. Then, as it is now, the time is short. We can no more hold on to the days than we can the daylight. When it comes to following Jesus, we often wonder how long it can be put off rather than rushing to make the most of our days. I love Jesus’ invitation, echoed by John. Live in the light. Be with Jesus. The more time you spend with him (this is a great start!), the more you connect with him throughout your day, and the more you put his words into practice, the more you’ll believe what he says, and the more you’ll become like him. Daylight is fading. Get out there and live in the light today!
