Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.

WORSHIP FOCUS | 5-15 Minutes
Worship can be as simple as thanking God for who He is & what He does. (Psalm 100:4)
1. Start by journaling or saying out loud 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
2. Play or sing some worship music you love, or choose from one of our Spotify Playlists.
Further Focus: Declare what God’s Word says is true about who you are in Christ back to Him.

Pray a simple prayer before reading, asking the Holy Spirit to guide you into all truth. (John 14:26)

A THOUGHT FROM TODAY’S READING
Have you ever been up against something or someone bigger, better, or stronger than you? This final section of Ephesians reminds us of just what we’re up against as we live this life we’re called to with Jesus, and what we should expect to face as a result. Living life with Jesus is actually an act of war. It’s a battle against spiritual forces and realities that want to keep you from the life, the marriage, the family, and the impact that God has for you in Jesus. And the truth is, these natural and spiritual forces are simply stronger than our good intentions and willpower. We need spiritual strength to fight this spiritual battle - and in Jesus, we have it! Every single day is a fight - so gear up every day. Get protected! Know what’s true. Do what’s right. Move fast into the places of peace made available to you because of the gospel! Pick faith up again every single day so that the lies of the enemy don’t take you out. Guard your mind against every doubt with the truth of your salvation. Then, go on the attack. Pray. Move boldly and powerfully into a time of prayer today (see below), knowing that as you do, you’re doing some serious damage for God’s kingdom! - Dave Kubiak
