Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
READ. Our Scripture Focus is Proverbs 15:31. Try memorizing it this week!
Today’s reading is from Proverbs 4:25-27, Proverbs 10:4-5 , Proverbs 12:24 , Proverbs 13:11 , Proverbs 22:29 ,
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Mike…
Do we have a good Father who provides for his children? Yes. Does Jesus teach against worry and remind us that God will provide for our needs? Yes. So should we sit idle and wait for God’s blessings? NO! Today’s proverbs clearly show that Godly wisdom would have us “look forward”, “consider the path”, work “diligently”, avoid “idleness” and “wealth obtained by fraud”, and use the skills we were given. I’ve never liked the phrase “God helps those who help themselves”. I’d prefer to say “God helps us by equipping us to help ourselves (and others)”. Are you on the right path? Have you fixed your gaze in the right direction? Is there work you’ve been putting off that you could get done with God’s help today?
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a lifegroup/church friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations. Pick one each day or pray through them all every day.
CONNECT. Have a question, prayer request, or story? Let us know here or reply via text.
SHARE. Invite a friend to read the Focus with you! Just text “FOCUS” to (586) 200-6277.

Run the race with endurance today, and stay focused on Jesus.
Make it a Great One!
