Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.

THANK. Write down 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
MEMORIZE. Our Scripture Focus for this study is Exodus 15:1-3. Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry God’s Word with us wherever we go.
READ. Today’s reading is Exodus 23:20-33 & Exodus 24. (Go Deeper: Matthew 26:26-39, Hebrews 9:18-20)

THINK. A Thought from Pastor Mike…
I wonder. I wonder what would happen if I actually, literally, followed the Lord’s leading and wasn’t so distracted by the world. In today’s reading God promises his people that he is about to lead them into an amazing home. He will drive out the people in front of them, clearing the way for them to inherit a fruitful land. All they need to do is follow him and not adopt any of the ways of the people of those lands, people who worship false gods and have evil practices. They are to make no deals with these people, but smash idols and listen only to the one true God who actually has power to save. Spoiler alert, the Israelites won’t do that. Neither do we. What worldly gods are we trying to follow along with God? What deals/compromises have we made? I wonder what “promised land” blessings we are missing out on by not making God’s way our only way.
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a lifegroup/church friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations. Pick one each day or pray through them all every day.
