Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.

WORSHIP | 5-15 Minutes
Worship can be as simple as thanking God for who He is & what He’s done.
Start by playing some worship music you love, or choose from one of our Spotify Playlists.
Journal or say out loud 3-5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
Going Deeper: Pray Ezekiel 36:24-30. Focus on one truth about who God is & thank Him for it.

PRAYER |
5-15 Minutes
Prayer is a conversation that involves both talking and listening to God.
Start praying for yourself using the Lord’s Prayer or pray for others using a Ripple Prayer.
Going Deeper: Learn more about prayer & try out a practice at paradoxchurch.com/pray.

SCRIPTURE | 5-25 Minutes
Our scripture focus for this study is Romans 3:23-24. Try memorizing it!
Today’s reading is from Romans 8:1-17
Ask the following SOS Questions & journal your thoughts…
S = Say. What is the main point? What does it teach about God (Jesus) & yourself?
O = Obey. What can you apply (practice) from this passage today?
S = Share. Who can you share what you’re learning with today?
Going Deeper: Read John 16:1-15. Why is Jesus “going away” a benefit? List the things the Holy Spirit does. Choose one to journal about the benefit of.

A THOUGHT FROM TODAY’S READING
These verses hit on the core of our new identity as believers in Christ. As a new believer, when I read these verses for the first time and the Holy Spirit began to reveal who I was in Christ, my mind was blown. I had been living life with a mindset of how I could work harder to eliminate sin in my life and trying to earn a sense of freedom from the guilt of the things I had done in the past and even in the present. I was motivated by fear of Gods thoughts and response to my sin and way of living. These verses set me free in a new way to live rightly for God because I realized that my new identity in Christ had no condemnation, i now walked according to the Spirit who lived in me and this wasn’t just a passive in dwelling but an ongoing relationship with the powerful Spirit of God who raised Jesus from the dead! This empowered me to do what it says in vs 13 to put to death the deeds of the flesh - those things and actions that were not like Christ. I could not do this by myself but with the help of the Holy Spirit I could live out this new life in Christ that is no longer motivated by fear but from a place of know I am His child. Let your mind be renewed today with these verses of your standing in Christ and set your mind on the things of the Spirit. - Jessica Glenn
