THINK. A Thought from Pastor Mike…
I love that some of King David’s final acts as king were designed to shore up the care for the tabernacle (their church)…the place where his people met with God and worshipped him. He took care to see to it that generations after him would be in place to lead the church. It is an inspiration for all of us, especially those of us a bit longer in the tooth, to be thinking about succession. Who are we discipling, inspiring, equipping in the next generation. Who are we preparing to lead God’s house for generations to come. What can we learn from how David went about this? First, he counted and assessed who was already there. Take a few minutes today ask God who are the peers and protégés that you should begin praying for today?

In this Lent season, we’ll be using the P.R.A.Y. model of prayer.
P = Pause. As you start your time of prayer, pause and be still before the Lord.
R = Read. Read the passage of the day (from the Daily Prayer Guide) slowly and be sensitive to the words or phrases that the Holy Spirit is highlighting to you.
A = Ask. Ask God to come and speak to you. Open up your heart to your heavenly Father.
Y = Yield. Yield your life to the words you have prayed and commit to follow Jesus’ way.
