WORSHIP FOCUS | 5-15 Minutes
Worship can be as simple as thanking God for who He is & what He does. (Psalm 100:4)
1. Start out by writing or saying out loud 3-5 things you’re thankful for.

Pray a simple prayer before reading, asking the Holy Spirit to guide you into all truth. (John 14:26)

Highlight verses that capture your attention, and ask three simple questions as you read…
S = Say. What is the main point? What does it teach about God (Jesus) & yourself?
O = Obey. What can you apply (practice) from this passage today?
S = Share. Who can you share what you’re learning with today?

A THOUGHT FROM TODAY’S READING…
If I won the Mega Millions jackpot, I can’t imagine how a day could go by that I wouldn’t think about it. I am pretty sure that at some point of time on literally ever subsequent day of my life something would trigger me to say: “oh yeah…I won the Lotto.” Furthermore, winning millions of dollars would be a life altering event. The trajectory of a lotto winner’s life is forever changed the moment they win. We can debate whether that change is for the better (or very worse), but we all must agree that their time management, work, relationships, spending, and focus would shift.
Well something WAY better than winning a few million bucks has happened to each and every one of us. Read again what Peter said: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” Because of Jesus’ death and RESURRECTION, our ETERNAL state has changed from death and separation to life and inclusion. When death comes for us, and it will (no amount of money can stop it), it can not hold us. We will be RESURRECTED because we follow Jesus. This is the most amazing thing that could happen to us!
Yet…many of us don’t think about this truth every day. And despite the enormity of the event that was the resurrection of Jesus, it has not changed the trajectory of our lives. Let’s change that! Join me today in praying that we would have a deeper acceptance/understanding of what Jesus did for us., and that out of that we would have a necessary shift in our time management, work, relationships, spending, and focus.
