Good Morning!
Let’s focus our day by spending some time with Jesus before it begins.
THANK. Write down 5 things you’re thankful for in the last 24 hours.
WORSHIP. Pick a song from one of our Spotify Playlists and let it play in the background.
PRAY. Pray for yourself, a family member, a friend, someone who doesn’t know Jesus, and the nations.
READ. Today’s scripture reading is from Acts 20:35, Luke 6:38, 2 Corinthians 9:6-15 & 1 Corinthians 16:1-3
THINK. A Thought from Pastor Dave…
It’s a pretty simple concept, but much harder to put into practice. We reap what we sow. While we may recognize this well known statement’s truth in many areas of life, it often stops short of our wallet. Fear can cause us to hold on tightly to things (think about the last time you were on a roller coaster…) but like so many things in God’s upside-down-is-right-side-up economy, the opposite is true. When we live open-handedly, God is able to fill our hands. When we are generous, God gives generously. Like a farmer who plants seed, or an investor in the stock market, when we give generosity into God’s economy, our reward is generous. Paul gives simple instructions for how we should approach giving in 1 Corinthians 16:1-3. Simply, it should be…
Prioritized. On the first day of the week…
Planned. Each of you should set something aside…
Percentage. In keeping with how he is prospering…
Pre-Meditated. So that no collection will need to be made when I come.
In short, planning to give a percentage of our income ahead of time is how we put God first. We don’t need to wait around for needs to arise, or wait until we’re in a financially “secure”, or be moved to give. We simply plan to give, and do it boldly, generously, irrationally. This is what we do.
Paradox would not exist without the support of those who give. Thank you for your generosity.

Pray: This weekend, ask God how He might be leading you to experience more of His goodness and faithfulness by giving generously.
LIVE. One practical way to understand and apply the Bible is the SOS method. Ask…
S: What does this passage say about God, and what does it say about me?
O: What am I being invited to obey?
S: What can I share with those around me?
