On Monday, February 6th, two massive earthquakes hit southern Turkey and northern Syria. So far, more than 11,000 people have died and the number is growing. Acts of Mercy is responding to this crisis and already has partners on the ground assisting. Acts of Mercy/Antioch has a large network in the region and is in ongoing dialogue about the situation and the best ways to assist those in need. How can you help?
GIVE
Paradox supports the international efforts of Acts of Mercy. When you give at Paradox, your support will assist our partners in Turkey with rescue efforts and will aid the large, displaced population in the weeks and months to come. If you’d like to give above and beyond specifically to disaster relief in Turkey, you can provide financial support here. (Designate “Acts of Mercy”)
PRAY
You can continue to pray for God’s comfort, presence, and power to pour over Turkey. Pray for miraculous rescue of those trapped, pray for those doing search and rescue and medical response, pray God would heal broken hearts, pray the harsh winter weather would subside, and pray that in this crisis hearts would turn to the Lord.
GO
We anticipate responding to the needs of the massive, displaced population in the weeks and months to come. If you are interested in going, please fill out our interest form. Please be patient with this process as we do not yet know when deployments will occur, and our staff is fully engaged with the initial response at this time. Paradox will be hosting a joint training session with Antioch Ann Arbor in April.
